Collectors
My biggest collector on SuperRare was the Museum of Crypto Art, followed by WhaleShark, snowcrash and temo (my post, March 2021). The museum also holds Just one piece. My collaboration with RAC, ONE, went to the collector Eric Young (DeFi Arts Intelligencer, 2020).
How these numbers work
- After fees. “Earned” is what reached me after the platform's cut, so collectors paid a bit more.
- Dollars at the time. Each sale is converted at that day's ETH closing price (Coinbase), not today's.
- Not in the totals: sales on Nifty Gateway and Bitski, and the Sotheby's auction, which paid out separately. That's why the publisher's 333+ is higher than the 127 counted here.
- Platforms since closed. Foundation, MakersPlace and KnownOrigin have shut down, but every transaction link still works.
